Having worked in restructuring and debt advisory at Grant Thornton for over seven years, I have gained significant experience and contacts across a wide range of transactions and situations that have helped shape my approach to working with our clients.
I focus on helping corporates, sponsors and lenders with the raising, refinancing and restructuring of debt across Europe. However, I like to work closely with our clients to understand, in detail, their strategic issues, being a genuine business advisor as opposed to merely a debt advisor.
I feel it is imperative to explore how enterprise value will be generated and how different financing structures can be used to achieve that; debt finance is not the solution itself but part of a toolkit that is used to realise strategic ambitions. This links into Capital Thinking, a quarterly publication offered to clients of which I am the editor, which looks at current debt and financing market trends and how they are relevant for our clients.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, I worked within the Investment Banking Division at Lehman Brothers in London, working with a range of clients across Europe.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing various sports, including football, golf and boxing. I am a keen reader, particularly of modern history and the odd economics or finance book!
