Bridges is a London based private equity company focused on ethical investments who were looking to enter the renewables market with an investment from their Growth fund. The Growth fund partners with ambitious management teams to build high growth businesses that make a difference to the environment.
GEV is one of the market leaders in providing wind turbine blade repair and maintenance services to the rapidly growing renewable wind energy industry. GEV has two operational bases in the UK, one in Germany and one in the US. The company was backed by private equity investor, Maven Capital Partners. GEV was subject to an auction which attracted very strong PE interest due to positive growth dynamics in the wind sector.
Bridges engaged us in April 2019 and we provided buy-side corporate finance advice to them in connection with the acquisition.
We helped Bridges develop their understanding of GEV and the company’s position in the evolving and fast growth wind energy market. Within the tight timeline driven by the sale process, we helped build Bridges’ investment case and deliver the deal on time.
