I lead the provision of Stamp Taxes advice for my firm, a role which puts me in touch with many colleagues and a very broad spectrum of clients. I have over 20 years’ experience in my specialism and have advised hundreds of businesses, organisations and individuals – including some well-known names.
Although my work is to some extent niche, I take a broad-based advisory approach bringing all relevant tax and commercial factors together. I love the variety of circumstances that I encounter, and I thrive on the challenge of generating practical, commercial solutions to ensure that our clients can perform their property and business transactions in a simple and tax efficient way.
I have been involved in some very exciting projects in my career, notably the London Olympics and its Legacy and numerous regeneration led developments. Working in tax is all about dealing with change, and each day I still look forward to learning something new.
Away from work I spend most of my time out of the house playing badminton or lawn bowls, walking (usually in the Lake District) or gardening.
