We are delighted to have advised Hornbill Engineering Group Limited on their sale to O’Connor Utilities Group.
Hornbill Engineering is a specialist electrical engineering business with a focus on high voltage infrastructure projects that support the UK’s transition to Net Zero and critical energy security projects. The business has developed its excellent reputation via the technical nature of its work with its longstanding blue chip client base.
The shareholders appointed us with the key objective of realising value from the business with an acquirer that would safeguard the legacy of the business and support its next phase of growth.
We provided an integrated, one team approach involving teams from Corporate Finance Advisory and Tax Advisory to achieve the best result for the shareholders.
Jamie Roberts, who led the transaction for Grant Thornton commented: “Hornbill Engineering is a first-class business right at the heart of critical energy security and energy transition initiatives. It has been a pleasure advising the shareholders and we are delighted to have led this successful transaction for them. We are confident O’Connor Utilities will prove to be an excellent partner for Hornbill going forward.”
