We are delighted to have advised Apple Aviation Limited on their sale to STS Aviation Group.

Apple Aviation is a successful UK maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) company with a 150,000 square feet maintenance facility in Newquay, Cornwall. It was founded by engineers Bernard Longman, Scott Whittlestone and Simon Pickford in 2010 and now has annual revenues of around £12m, and long-term contracts with a number of Tier One engineering companies and airlines, including Rolls-Royce.

The business had grown rapidly over the last five years, and the founders were keen to assess options to secure the next stage in the company’s development.

Our corporate finance team identified a number of trade and private equity investors who were most suited to company’s needs and shareholders’ objectives. Having met with various investors, the founders decided that STS Aviation Group’s history, team and profile was the best fit for their business. We managed the deal process through to completion and secured a successful outcome for the founders, all of whom are remaining in their roles.
