As a director in the transaction advisory services team in Yorkshire, I specialise in providing due diligence advice for corporate and private equity buyers of successful businesses, incorporating buy-side and vendor due diligence as well as work undertaken on behalf of funders.
I have spent 14 years in the Yorkshire corporate finance community, working with a range of local, national and global businesses, funds and banks, helping them to understand the performance, position and prospects of target businesses in a wide spectrum of sectors. Local highlights include repeat assignments for large corporates engaging in multiple acquisitions. My approach is to focus on the deal critical issues of the acquirer and provide necessary information for the mechanism whilst maintaining positive relationships with parties on all sides of the deal.
In previous roles I have worked in a team responsible for refreshing the processes and deliverables for the transaction advisory service line of a global firm, aiming to increase the effectiveness not only of the report itself but of the advice and insight given throughout a due diligence process.
On most Saturday mornings I can be found at York parkrun trying to improve my woeful personal best, before heading home and attempting to persuade my two children that reading a book is better than playing on the Xbox.
