I work in Finance Consulting, helping Directors define the role finance needs to play in their business and the changes required to let finance work well.
Since joining Grant Thornton in 2017, I have worked with companies in different strategic positions, with varied aspirations, a range of regulatory, legal and compliance requirements and seen many different finance operating models and change programmes. Together, these factors inform the role finance needs to play, how finance should be set up and what change should look like. We work with our clients in small squads, sometimes with technical support from another service line such as Deals or Tax – it is critical to us that we are felt to work with you to co-create your future. This collaboration is underpins our quality - ensuring the best change is defined, understood and owned and we hear that “how we work” is a key success factor to effectively designing and implementing the right change.
Prior to Grant Thornton I was fortunate enough to have held a Strategy and Transformation role in a global PLC through their turnaround and sale, spend two years at Manchester and China European Business Schools on a MBA programme, and to have worked in public market corporate finance following training at KPMG. My best days normally involve a ride or a run.
