Carolyn Hicks

I lead our transformation practice within business consulting. I develop practices that will help clients on their journeys through transformational change; whether driven by growth opportunities, cost challenges, technical change, operating model transformation or talent acquisition and retention issues. With over 13 years’ advisory experience across a range of sectors including financial services and healthcare, and a decade working in the retail sector, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to help our clients.

With a range of business disrupters and market opportunities at play, including digital and the war for talent, which continue to challenge many business sectors, my team and I have a clear vision and ambition to support the long-term growth of our clients through a people-centric transformation strategy. We support business as they reimagine enterprise models, processes, and operations, providing the transformation engine room and the focus on people to ensure the success of transformations – putting people at the very heart of our approach. The team and I work across a range of sectors and clients come to us for our pragmatic, down to earth yet highly experienced approach to transformation and change.

Outside of work I spend time with my husband, Chris, supporting our 10-year-old son Barnaby in his footballing pursuits, which means our weekends are usually filled with travelling around the country to go to football matches. On a personal note, as an ex-aerobics instructor (many moons ago) I try to get to the gym when I can and - when I have time - love scrolling Instagram for interior design ideas.

As a female from a working-class family in the North West, I am passionate about gender equality and social mobility. I am committed, to supporting the firm in continuing to drive change across these agendas - particularly role modelling and being active in mentoring females to increase the percentage of females we have in senior leadership roles. Being married to Chris, who is of Ghanian heritage, I am also keen to support our focus on intersectionality between socio-economic background, ethnicity, and gender.
