Paul Rao Director, UK Head of Not for Profit Manchester +44 (0)7775 548 347

I lead our charity and wider not for profit business risk services practice, delivering internal audit, risk management and governance services. My clients vary from top five charities by income, to smaller, niche professional membership organisations. I also work with a range of wider not for profit clients, including many membership organisations and regulators.

Internal audit and risk is my specialty. I’m a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors’ (Chartered IIA) technical guidance working group who work closely with the technical team at the institute. The group publishes guidance to support those in the profession of internal auditing.

I am also a North West committee member at the Chartered IIA. In addition to this I sit on Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy’s (CIPFA) internal audit editorial board.

I live in Saddleworth, just outside of Manchester, and spend half my week in London. I very much enjoy this balance.

Outside of the office, I spend time with my two boys, and I’m a season ticket holder at Manchester United. I also have a passion for cars and playing pool.
