I have over eighteen years of experience within governance, risk and internal audit, working predominantly with charities and wider not for profit clients including membership organisations, regulators and others.
I am the firm’s UK Head of Not for Profit and a member of the Global Not for Profit Leadership Team, representing the UK Not for Profit practice.
I am dual qualified as both a chartered accountant (ACA) and chartered internal auditor (CMIIA). I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors' Guidance Working Group, who work closely with the technical team at the Institute. The Group writes guidance to support those in the profession of internal auditing.
I am also an IIA committee chair and a member of CIPFA’s internal audit board. I regularly host not for profit roundtables and conferences, speak at industry events and write material for the charity sector.
Away from the office, I have two young boys, I am a season ticket holder at Manchester United, play in a pool team and enjoy cars. I am also a Trustee at the Michael Carrick Foundation.
