I am a partner in the North West audit department, and I enjoy working with our varied client base across the region. I adopt a hands-on approach and attempt to add value to my clients through sharing the experience I have gained working with both listed and owner managed businesses in my career. I pride myself on being commercial, robust and constructive in my dealings with businesses and act as a sounding board to my clients. I am also very fortunate to work with excellent teams and enjoy the relationships I have with other functions across the firm.
My client portfolio is cross sector, but I have significant experience in retail, contracting and manufacturing. I particularly enjoy working with businesses aiming to expand and create shareholder value through acquisition strategies and/or preparing for an exit event. I have extensive experience of clients reporting under IFRS on both the AIM and FTSE.
Outside of work I enjoy walking trips to the Lake District with friends (I am aiming to complete all of the 214 Wainwright walks), cycling and eating out. I am also a co-opted member of the Audit Committee at Runshaw College which has provided me with great experience of ‘being on the other side of the table’ when compared to my typical day to day schedule.
