I joined the firm in August 2021, after spending more than 20 years working with tax teams in other leading accountancy firms.
I have experience of working both with SMEs and large multi-nationals across a variety of sectors and lead on all aspects of corporate tax work, whether that be compliance, tax governance and risk or advisory focussed projects such as corporate restructuring, refinancing or tax aspects of M&A activity.
Having spent the vast majority of my career in Scotland, I’m passionate about the potential of the Scottish market and the myriad opportunities which exist to partner with organisations on all things tax. The tax landscape is constantly evolving, with both ever changing legislation and a much increased focus on risk and governance, my role is to interpret the requirements of what can often be complex legislation and help businesses to operate successfully within that legislative framework.
In more recent years, my focus has been on partnering with dynamic clients as they expand internationally, helping them navigate unfamiliar tax rules and avoid the many pitfalls which can arise as a result of international expansion.
In a nutshell, what motivates me is working hand in hand with clients to help them achieve their goals.
Outside of work, my main priority is spending time with my husband and 10 year old son, and, when I’m not acting as a taxi service, you’ll often find us out bagging the Scottish Munros.
