I support chief finance officers and finance directors to develop their finance function, helping it to add value and become a strategic partner to the wider business. I work with a wide range of business sizes and sectors, and am experienced in the differing challenges facing CFOs at each stage of business growth.
CFO and FD agendas are broad and varied. So my day-to-day involves helping clients automate and streamline finance processes, improving the quality of management information and KPIs, training and embedding finance business partnering, or preparing the finance function for an IPO.
Having spent seven years in a large retail plc, my approach is based on marrying practical experience and best practice to ultimately design a pragmatic solution. My favourite projects are those where I've helped a client recognise the barriers to their success and formulate a roadmap to overcome them.
I also lead on our Finance Business Partnering (FBP) proposition, helping CFOs to design and implement the blueprint for what their FBP service should look like, and am responsible for the content and delivery of our Finance Business Partnering course.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my cockapoo in the countryside and keeping fit – which is a must as I spend most of my time running after my two sons.
