I have more than 20 years' experience working in indirect tax. I began my career as a VAT inspector for the UK tax authorities and have spent the remainder of my career working in practice. I enjoy advising organisations on all matters relating to UK and international indirect tax.
My work involves providing advisory services on the more complicated aspects of indirect tax with particular experience of matters that result in litigation with HMRC. I work across all sectors with extensive experience in the property, motor retail, not for profit and financial services sectors.
I have specialised in the VAT aspects of insolvency and restructuring and I am currently the chairman of the R3 VAT group. My clients appreciate that I am able to calmly guide them through complex tax problems in a way that is readily understandable for a non-specialist.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog (apart from when he behaves disgracefully), reading and extending my 1000 day Duolingo streak.
