I am a chartered tax adviser with a career in employment taxes spanning more than 25 years. I first discovered my passion for tax when I joined HM Revenue and Customs and after several happy years left to join one of the Big Six (as they were at the time) where I continued to hone my tax and leadership skills. I joined the firm in September 2017 to develop the tax practice in the newly opened Aberdeen office and to also lead our global mobility services team in Scotland.
My experience ranges from assisting large, multi-national companies with solving their complex UK and international employment tax and social security-related problems, to advising small businesses starting to trade internationally. Having spent the last 22 years based in Aberdeen, I have become an expert in the energy sector, specifically oil and gas, and advising clients on more specialised areas of tax such as continental shelf working, divers, mariners and IR35.
Outside of work my twin teenage daughters are my focus and we spend as much time as we can travelling, going to the theatre and eating out together. Oh, and shopping!
