South Asia Group appoints new Business Development Lead

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has appointed Chandru Iyer as Head of Business Development for its South Asia Group.

Chandru brings in close to 20 years international business development experience and has worked with clients across India, Australia, Scandinavia and the UK. He previously led the international business development function at Kingston Smith for 11 years where he was instrumental in facilitating a significant number of cross border transactions and inward investment projects between India and the UK across a wide range of sectors.

Chandru has worked closely with the Department of International Trade, London & Partners and other similar organisations to attract foreign direct investment into the UK for many years. He was also included in the “Top 100 Influential People in India UK business relations”.

Commenting on his appointment, Chandru said: “I am delighted to be joining Grant Thornton’s South Asia Group and look forward to working with the team and its impressive client base in this space.
