Insolvency Treasury Cashier

A look into the role

The Executive will be responsible for providing an effective cashiering management for the National Treasury team which services all Insolvency cases. This will include being responsible for their own caseload, and delegation of work to Treasury administrators.

As an Insolvency Treasury Cashier within our team, you will:

  • Maintaining client accounting records for insolvent estates
  • Processing job set up and closure forms
  • Using the Insolvency Practitioner Software (IPS) and saving documentation to our electronic filing system
  • Bonding
  • Review and completion of daily transactions – receipts/payments/journals (all types)
  • Cheque and electronic payments including bank verifications and sanction checks
  • Inter account transfers
  • Opening, administering and closing estate bank accounts
  • Regular and accurate bank reconciliations
  • Communicating with all the major high street banks/Insolvency Services/Internal teams and dealing with any queries/administrative tasks as required.

Other responsibilities

  • To keep up to date technically to conduct the role e.g. attend internal training events including National Training courses
  • Ensure that Workday tasks are completed re performance on a regular basis and any identified areas of development are addressed after discussions with line manager
  • Accurate record of time spent is properly and expediently recorded on Business World
  • When appropriate, be involved in training/inducting new members of staff

Joining us as an Insolvency Treasure Cashier, the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience in a similar role It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good understanding of insolvency procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and maintain robust records
  • Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy when handling confidential information
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
