Business Manager - Public Sector Assurance (PSA)

London & Bristol - Flexibility/Hybrid working available

Our Public Sector Team is the largest supplier of external audit, grants and value for money audit to local government and the NHS. We make a difference to the financial sustainability, governance and performance of key public sector organisations who protect the vulnerable and provide key services to communities. You will be joining a successful and growing team of 470 people who care deeply about the sector that they work in and the people they work with.

A look into the role

You will be reporting to the Partner team, led by our Head of Public Sector Assurance. You will perform a range of tasks to ensure PSAs productivity and efficiency including implementing business strategies, evaluating regional and business unit performances, and coordinating operations. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure the profitability of PSAs activities and to drive sustainable development and long-term success. This will include:

  • business plan development

  • designing operational plans for each region and operational unit

  • ensuring that each region and business unit has the adequate and suitable resources

  • supporting each region and business unit to organize and coordinate operations to ensure maximum productivity; and

  • work with the People Team to ensure that people are managed effectively and receive feedback and coaching.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a business manager the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

Experience as business manager or relevant role.

BSc/Ba or MSc/MA in Business Management or another relevant business management qualification

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

Experience as business manager or relevant role.

Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems.

Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques.
