Philip Secrett

I am the Elected Partner on the Board where I represent the Partners of Grant Thornton UK. 

I have been at the firm for 30 years, starting my career in Audit before specialising in corporate finance. I lead the firm’s Public Company Advisory team and have over 25 years' experience in equity capital markets and sit on the firm’s Corporate Finance Leadership team. During this time, I have provided advice on company equity issuances and flotations on AIM and the Official List, acquisitions and disposals, reverse takeovers and public company takeovers. 

I am the chairman of the AIM Advisory Group at the London Stock Exchange, a group that provides input and advises on all matters affecting the operation and regulation of AIM. I have acted as expert witness on equity capital markets related matters and have been retained by the FCA, the City of London Police and the Crown Prosecution Service. 

I served as the Senior Elected Member of the Partnership Governance Board, formerly the primary governance body for the firm, for nine years and was a member of the risk and audit committee, the remuneration committee, and chairman of the investments committee. 

Outside of work, I spend time with my family and enjoy cycling, walking and gardening.
