Recruitment review Q1 2022
ReportAs recruitment M&A continues to outperform, we explain the reasons behind the sector’s long-standing appeal.
I am Head of Transactions Advisory and IF&R and a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, leading Corporate Finance Advisory, Forensics, Insolvency, Restructuring and Transaction Advisory Services.
I have been with the firm for 20 years in the M&A practice, having joined from a leading private equity and venture capital firm in 2005. I have held a number of leadership roles in our firm, including Head of Deals Advisory & Consulting and Head of Corporate Finance Advisory. I also led our firm’s human capital and business support services M&A practice in London and sit on the ICAEW Faculty Board for Corporate Finance.
From an M&A standpoint, I have a particular focus on the recruitment, education and skills sectors, specialising in advising private equity firms, large corporates and founder-led businesses in these areas. I am passionate about working with investors and entrepreneurs where the assets in the business are the people, and I have enjoyed learning from, as much as advising, my clients in these sectors.
I also lead the firm's work on the future of work and skills, bringing together business, community leaders and organisations to discuss how individuals and groups thrive and adapt in this fourth technological age in a responsible and sustainable way.
Outside of work, my family is my focus and disappearing with them in an old, 1970 VW camper van, preferably to Cornwall or France.
