Working with the board: What skills does a CFO need?
ArticleGetting the most out of boards and other stakeholders reduces internal pressures on CFOs. What skills does it require?
I lead on Grant Thornton’s annual Corporate Governance Review and bring my experience and expertise in governance and board effectiveness reviews to large, medium, and listed organisations.
I've supported Greggs plc, Persimmon plc (FTSE 100 & 250), NatWest Group Plc, Post Office Limited and various financial organisations, ranging from banks to Lloyd's of London managing agencies/re-insurers on their board effectiveness reviews. My previous experience includes working for a wide range of organisations, such as BNP Paribas, the London Legal Support Trust, and Allianz SE in compliance and legal advisory.
Outside of work, I'm a keen traveller, baker, as well as an avid reader of all kinds of novels. More recently, I'm inspired by challenging myself to grow and give back more and so I'm looking to take both a creative pursuit such as dancing/singing as well as volunteering more in my daily life and in my local community.
