Pinnacle Foods is a specialist supplier of frozen meat and poultry to a range of UK and overseas markets, which can trace its roots back over 55 years.
The current business was formed in 2007 following a merger of two long established industry suppliers, Wilsons Frosted Meats and Pinnacle Meats. Since then joint owners Graham Reed and Chris Wilson have built Pinnacle Foods into a business known throughout the industry for quality and reliability – a reputation that has been cemented through in-depth quality control processes and procedures that support a highly efficient manufacturing process designed to meet specific customer needs.
Following sustained, robust growth through a number of significant customer wins, Graham and Chris engaged us to act as lead advisors on the disposal of the entire business.
Our team ran a competitive process, leveraging their industry contacts and knowledge of the food and beverage sector to generate significant interest in a very attractive, high growth asset.
From the outset GPS Food Group was proactive in their approach and within a short time was selected as the preferred partner for the businesses, providing all parties with the desired outcome.
The deal sees Graham Reed remain as Managing Director alongside Chris Wilson in his existing role as Sales and Marketing Director. The pair will work with GPS to continue to drive the growth of the business alongside GPS both domestically, and internationally.
