We are delighted to have advised Low Carbon Exchange on their sale to Sureserve Group

Low Carbon Exchange is a UK-based business that specialises in decarbonisation services through the installation and maintenance of renewable energy technologies and energy-efficient building materials.

Founded in 2010, it focusses on the Social Housing Sector and has won multiple awards for the quality of it services.

Our strong credentials, sector knowledge, insights into potential key buyers and network in the sector were key differentiators for the Shareholders to select us for the sale mandate.

We were able to use our strong sector knowledge to attract significant initial buyer-interest and were able to use this competitive tension to elicit an early offer from a key strategic party that led to an off-market process that generated a great result for the shareholders.

Sureserve Group, one of the UK’s leading energy and compliance services providers, was selected preferred bidder due to excellent synergy opportunities and its commitment to delivering decarbonisation solutions to the social housing sector. It is committed to providing the Company with the resources required to accelerate its growth opportunities

Ultimately, we were able to secure a transaction that met all shareholder objectives and completed the transaction within the shareholders timeframes and those originally agreed.

This is a great outcome for all parties. We are delighted with the result and believe Sureserve Group will be an excellent partner for the business going forward. Grant Thornton was first class on this transaction, instrumental in delivering an excellent outcome for the shareholders, and I’d like to thank the team for all their work in achieving a great result for the Shareholders.
