Ruth Walsh

I lead our Talent Solutions practice, supporting organisations with their skills agenda by designing and delivering training programmes that equip teams with the expertise they need to thrive in a fast-changing business environment. These may be fully funded by the apprenticeship levy or specially designed with our subject matter experts. With over 20 years of experience working across multiple countries and a broad range of sectors, including energy, marine, public sector, entrepreneurship, charities, and education, I bring extensive experience and valuable insights to my role.

My career has been shaped by my experiences living in Argentina, the USA, Azerbaijan, Scotland, India and England. During this time I had the privilege of setting up new branches or developing businesses, engaging across different workstreams, from Technical to Marketing, Business Development, HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Stakeholder Management. I have contributed to Government projects in trade and investment and supported entrepreneurs and start-ups in establishing their ventures in the UK. Throughout my career I have focused on change management, people and driving continuous improvement. Over the past decade, I have channelled these principles to assist clients with their people agenda and, as a professional coach, working with individuals to support their personal growth. Collaborating with colleagues, academic partners, industry experts, and clients, my aim is to leverage the latest technology and insights to develop programmes that address evolving skills needs – a pursuit I find immensely rewarding.

The variety of my work also reflects in the variety of my passions! I’m an avid reader with historic fiction as possibly my favourite gender. I love all sports, particularly golf, padel, rowing and mountain climbing when I get the chance. My husband and I have three children (now young adults) and we all share a love for adventure, travelling, languages and cross-cultural experiences. I am still determined to get everyone sharing my love for dancing as well.
