Neal Dempsey

I'm a member of our consulting practice and work with both the public and private sector to deliver people-centred and technology-enabled change. I specialise in supporting clients to modernise their operating models – in particular, how the finance function can help deliver its organisation’s strategy and objectives.

My recent work includes:

• supporting a UK regulator to modernise its cost allocation and forecasting processes, automating data capture and analysis across multiple systems, improving data quality and reducing the monthly reporting cycle by over 20 working days
• working with a local authority to deliver best-practice financial management capabilities, modernising processes and optimising the use of a new cloud-based finance system
• design and costing of an operating model for a new business unit within a statutory corporation – which was being established to manage investment in major infrastructure programmes and the related environmental impact.

Outside work, I've rediscovered a love of running, particularly CaniCross – cross-country with my dogs. Recognising the importance of balance, I also thoroughly enjoy being let loose in the kitchen.
