I am a highly motivated restructuring professional and chartered accountant, with over 25 years’ experience acting for, with, and as management to support boards and their stakeholders in times of stress and periods of significant change.
I have worked across numerous sectors and geographies, including the UK, India, the Middle East, Europe and South Africa. This has provided me with a broad range of exposure to various business cultures and business sizes, from individual mid-market entities to large international corporate groups; providing me with a uniquely broad set of experiences in turnaround, interim management, advisory and restructuring situations.
Through this I have been able to develop considerable experience, knowledge and skills that have equipped me to produce innovative and pragmatic solutions to challenging problems. I prefer to work collaboratively, applying a ‘hands-on’ and adaptable approach. Alongside my candour, this allows me to apply my skills and experience in a practical manner to deliver timely results.
Notable high profile clients have included ED&F Man, Thomas Cook, Stemcor, Clinton Cards, Habitat UK, Findus UK, Casual Dining Group and Austin Read - covering a wide range of complex and challenging situations, including a mixture of advisor roles and also management roles to help guide the board and their stakeholders.
Core skills include financial and operational restructuring, distressed advisory, cash flow and working capital optimisation, business plan diligence, accelerated exit strategies, formal insolvency, interim management, CRO and refinancing across a wide range of sectors.
When I’m not at work I’m passionate about sport, in particular playing cricket, skiing, cycling and watching football, or simply spending time with my family.
