I specialise in advising on the VAT intricacies of the food, financial services, and property sectors. I have a particular interest in the weird and wonderful world of the VAT liability of food and drink products.
I have spent well over a decade specialising in VAT, including positions at leading professional services firms, as well as heading up the VAT function of a mid-tier firm. I now have the pleasure of working with some of the most exciting and fastest-growing businesses, and many of the UK's largest retailers and food manufacturers. I have also helped businesses secure zero-ratings on more than 80 different products over the last five years.
On top of this, I’ve always enjoyed a good argument! My work has led to me taking several cases to the tax tribunals in recent years: all successfully (!), and I have several more in the pipeline.
