Director, Head of International Arbitration

Chris Tune

I'm a director and the Head of International Arbitration in our forensic and investigations team. I've specialised in accounting and commercial disputes since 2002, initially working as an auditor. I focus on accounting advisory and expert witness services. I act as expert or adviser in disputes for commercial litigation, international arbitration, and expert determination purposes.

I assist and advise clients and their legal teams in disputes arising from breaches of contract, breach of duty, or fraudulent misrepresentation, as well as claims brought under investment treaties. I've given evidence and been cross-examined in numerous international arbitration cases involving the assessment of damages and disputes between shareholders.

I advise clients during the sale or purchase of businesses, both pre-signing, to mitigate risks of disputes arising, and post-signing, advising on any post-transaction disputes: preparation of completion accounts, and breach of warranty claims. I also contribute to expert determination processes: advising on submissions to an expert, or acting as the expert.

Personally, I'm a trustee, director, and treasurer of a national charity called Diversity Role Models, which delivers student workshops aimed at embedding empathy and inclusion, and tackling anti-LGBTQIA+ bullying.
