I’m a Chartered Companion of the CIPD and a HR leader with over 20 years’ experience operating at board level across complex, highly regulated and politically sensitive environments. I specialise in leading large‑scale transformation programmes that drive cultural change, improve organisational performance and deliver sustainable value. My approach is pragmatic and delivery‑focused, combining strong commercial judgement with the ability to influence and coach at the most senior levels including boards, elected members, trade unions and senior leaders to land difficult decisions and deliver sustainable change.
I have developed a particular specialism in equal pay, organisational design and workforce transformation, leading high‑profile programmes that address some of the most complex workforce challenges in the public sector. I bring pace, clarity and credibility to these programmes by balancing legal compliance, affordability and employee relations outcomes. Alongside this, I have built high‑performing, data‑driven people functions and supported organisations to modernise their people practices in a way that is both practical and sustainable.
Alongside my executive roles, I bring a strong external perspective through my previous 6 years as a Non‑Executive Director at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, where I contributed to audit, risk and strategic oversight at a national level and continue to support the CIPD Trust. As a former President of the Public Services People Managers’ Association, I remain closely connected to the development of the profession and the evolving challenges facing public services. I am passionate about supporting complex organisations to strengthen leadership capability, deliver inclusive workplaces and create long‑term impact to confidently navigate their most critical people challenges.
