Grant Thornton advises Addresscloud Limited

Founded in 2015, Addresscloud is a provider of high precision geospatial, peril risk and property data to the residential and commercial property insurance sector.

Addresscloud has built a robust cloud-first platform that enables the assessment of property risk at a rooftop level, allowing its customers to gain more precise risk insights and the ability to price policies with greater accuracy.

In late 2024, the shareholders were approached off-market by a trade party expressing an interest in acquiring the business. In response, they engaged Grant Thornton to help them assess their strategic options. 

The Grant Thornton team worked with the shareholders to understand each of their individual future aspirations both personally and for the company. 

Having extensive knowledge of the strategic investor landscape allowed us to design and run a tightly focused marketing process, presenting Addresscloud to a select number of strategically placed private equity investors to provide the shareholders with optionality and create a competitive environment with the trade interest.

Ultimately, we were able to secure a deal solution that met all shareholder objectives and allows the business to accelerate their growth initiatives.
