Tyler O’Callaghan

I'm a Partner in Grant Thornton's Financial Services tax practice, with 20 years' experience in UK and global tax compliance across the banking, capital markets, asset management private equity and real estate sectors. I lead our Global Compliance and Reporting offering for Financial Services, working with businesses to design, implement and run successful tax outsource models, and to transition and deliver compliance for multinational groups in line with UK, local and international regulations. 
 
I focus on UK and global corporation tax compliance, supporting businesses to implement and maintain successful outsourced tax models, aligning delivery with tax strategy and driving continuous improvement. I provide guidance on technical tax matters, risk governance and compliance best practice, and I'm recognised for tax authority enquiries, with a consistent record of favourable outcomes for clients. I completed a 12-month secondment within one of the UK's largest financial services institutions, delivering tax compliance in-house before moving onto an outsource basis, providing first-hand experience of how compliance operates from industry’s perspective. 
 
Outside of work, life revolves around my two young daughters who keep me on my toes. When I get a spare moment, you'll usually find me clocking up miles on Zwift or walking our family cockapoo.
