CASS widens its net and raises the bar for everyone in scope
ArticleCASS is expanding to payments and digital assets. Understand what FCA safeguarding changes mean for compliance, governance, and audit readiness.
I have over 16 years’ experience in the audit industry and have managed audits of financial services clients including insurance brokers, investment trusts and asset managers. I am a dedicated financial services specialist, with experience across the financial services industry and FCA regulated businesses, including Client Asset (CASS) assurance engagements.
I act as a technical and quality assurance specialist, primarily on CASS assurance engagements and am currently responsible for independent technical clearance of CASS audit reports under SUP 3.10. I also look after the risk management of CASS assurance engagements and provide technical support on regulatory (including CASS) queries for the firm’s regulated audit clients.
As part of my role, I enjoy working with my team and clients to better understand the regulatory and technical challenges associated with different business models in various financial sectors and industries.
Additionally, I serve on the ICAEW CASS working party and also meet regularly with the FCA to discuss CASS matters. I also enjoy taking part in industry and ICAEW CASS conferences and events by contributing to the auditor panels.
Outside of work I like to travel, read and spend time with my family including my three girls who keep me extremely busy, entertained and challenged.
