I am a Director in the People & Culture team and lead across three key priorities – partner growth, recruitment, and diversity and inclusion. I work alongside some excellent colleagues across these areas ensuring our activity is connected to the firmwide strategy and growth plans. I've been at the firm for 16 years, and have done a number of roles during that time, and I bring that long view to how we recruit, integrate, and enable the people who'll lead it next.
Day to day, my role is really varied which I enjoy. I lead programmes of work across partner recruitment and integration, diversity and inclusion, early careers, culture and performance, and employer brand. Right now, the biggest piece of that is our partner growth programme — roughly 160 new partner appointments over 18 months, across every service line. I'm most involved in shaping how we bring senior talent in and set them up to succeed — the recruitment, the assessment, and increasingly the integration experience once they've said yes. Underpinning all the work that I do is diversity and inclusion – how we support our networks and conveners to ensure all talent can get in, get on, and feel a sense of belonging when here.
Outside of work, I split my time between London and Lincolnshire. I have two dogs – a 13-year-old whippet and a 3-year-old labrador. I enjoy walking, running, and reading. I particularly enjoy queer fiction, and my favourite books are Lie With Me (Philippe Besson), A Little Life (Hanya Yanagihara) and anything by Alan Hollinghurst.
