Pritesh Patel

Pritesh is a Partner within Grant Thornton’s Business Risk Services with a focus on Banking and Markets. Starting his career with the Big Four, he has over 25 years of experience across capital markets, corporate banking, asset management and other related financial services sectors. This includes senior leadership roles such as Head of Front Office Risk & Control, Chief Auditor, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at major financial institutions. He has led large-scale remediation programmes for global financial institutions facing multi-million-dollar regulatory fines and consent orders, ensuring clients meet milestones and exit regulatory scrutiny within agreed timelines.

At Grant Thornton, Pritesh draws on this expertise to help firms design and embed robust risk and control frameworks that support sustainable growth. With work spanning financial risk, non-financial risk and regulatory compliance, Pritesh also champions the integration of controls into change programmes to support transformation, which is a critical element that’s often overlooked by organisations. His breadth of experience across first, second and third lines gives him a unique perspective on risk and control management.

Outside of work Pritesh has a keen interest in tennis and Formula 1, and is a self-confessed petrol head.
