I lead Grant Thornton's Value Creation offering for private equity clients, working with both PE houses and their portfolio companies. I joined the firm in 2026 after a career in advisory, working exclusively with private equity clients, and today I connect our advisory capabilities — from Transaction Advisory Services and Corporate Finance through to Valuations and Consulting — to what PE value creation teams actually need, across the whole deal lifecycle from pre-deal diligence to exit.
My focus is bringing the best of Grant Thornton to our clients, matching the right capability in the firm to the problem a client actually has. I'm particularly focused on closing the gap that often opens up at deal completion, bringing value creation thinking into pre-deal diligence. PE houses can then get a clear view of what needs to happen within the business to deliver the investment case, and can assist management earlier in making changes happen. This also allows them one joined-up relationship with Grant Thornton across the whole hold period, in turn enabling a series of separate engagements but working to a clear goal. Having worked inside both a fast growth small business and in an investment fund myself, I understand how PE houses and portfolio company leadership teams operate day to day, I bring a straightforward, practical commercially minded approach – not an academic one.
Outside work, you'll usually find me failing to control two unruly, yet charming kids. Cooking, ironing, tidying up, taxi-ing. And only when all this is done, considering if I will ever have the time to go skiing again, while reminiscing of 5 years spent in the Swiss Alps pre-kids.
