I have been an auditor for over 20 years and I enjoy working with listed businesses across different stock exchanges as well as private equity backed groups, generally with an international aspect. I joined Grant Thornton in 2021 and lead audits for clients across Yorkshire and beyond. I take overall responsibility for our opinion and for the relationship, and I act as a central point of contact for the board, so clients always see a high level of senior input.
I pride myself on technical knowledge and on sharing it constructively. Having trained in Yorkshire, manufacturing and engineering have been a key part of my portfolio. I also really enjoy working with service providers, technology, food and retail businesses. I am motivated by understanding what makes a business work well and I have seconded into a large group as Group Financial Controller, so I understand the dynamics of working in a business and what it is like to be audited.
Outside work, I live in Leeds with my wife Katy, and my young family. We enjoy getting out for walks and finding time for fine dining.
