Lynne Bicket

I joined the graduate program within Grant Thornton in September 2005, training within the Scotland commercial audit practice and have progressed throughout several roles being promoted to Audit Partner in October 2023. During my time within the firm, I have worked with a large variety of clients across a number of different industries and of varying size and scale. Over the years I have specialised in food & drink and have vast experience in the whisky sector in Scotland. Out with my audit role I am passionate about my role as Head of People for Scotland audit and driving the strategy for our current team.

My current role is split into two parts, firstly leading the strategy and direction of the overseas delivery centre and Grant Thornton International teams within the Entrepreneurial Services client portfolio, being responsible for building the client portfolio and team. Secondly, I will work with the other partners and directors in Scotland Private Capital to lead our team and build the client portfolio in line with the firm’s growth plans.

My key motivations are the ability to gain real insight into my clients’ businesses, adding value to help them deliver on their strategic priorities whilst being able to share insights from own experiences. Working closely with international colleagues within the Grant Thornton International network allows me to build my network, experience and understanding of business from an international perspective.

Outside of work I love spending time with my husband and two children, Ava and Rory. In my spare time - when I am not running around after the kids - I love playing netball and watching football.
