I'm part of our public sector consulting team, helping public sector organisations to manage their financial and operational challenges.
My background is in public sector assurance where I delivered external audit to local government, the NHS, and the not-for-profit sector. This helped me understand the challenges these organisations face in navigating financial sustainability and delivering value for the public's money.
I've worked with a range of stakeholders across the sector on large-scale financial transformation programmes, where I've used my rigorous financial analysis to understand and challenge budgets.
I'm passionate about supporting these organisations to find sustainable solutions for the people and areas they serve. It's very satisfying to see the impact of my work on local areas, such as helping Sport England to support community leisure centres recover from the financial impact of COVID-19.
Outside of work I can be found spending time with my wife and two children, usually taking the children to one of their many activities! When I do get time to myself it's usually taken up by sport in one form or another. Although my childhood dream of being a professional footballer has probably passed me by now, I try to play 5-a-side football as much as possible. I'm also a semi-retired amateur cricketer and can also be found running around the streets of Shropshire trying to improve my 5 K times!
