I’m a partner in the firm’s real estate tax team. I advise funds, asset managers, investors, listed property groups, infrastructure companies and developers on the tax side of deals and projects, from planning through to completion and beyond.
Most of my work is on acquisitions, sales and restructurings. That includes tax due diligence for buyers and sellers, deal structuring, and joint ventures and developments. I advise on real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other real estate fund structures, and I regularly advise across stamp taxes. I also support clients with tax compliance throughout the life of an investment.
I’ve specialised in real estate tax at Grant Thornton since 2015. My recent focus has included build to rent (including affordable housing), flexible offices, student accommodation and hotels, and renewable energy, though my work covers a wide range of real estate and infrastructure.
