Ekrem Shahin

I'm a Partner in our Corporate Finance team and a leader within our TMT M&A team.

On a day-to-day basis, I support entrepreneurs, corporate buyers and private equity investors across a range of transactions. I work with owner-managers and investors to find the optimal deal, and I enjoy building trusted relationships that go beyond the transaction itself, helping companies realise their potential over the course of their growth journeys. Some of the strongest relationships I've built have developed over many years, where I've come on the journey with those companies.

I started my career at Deloitte in 2013, where I trained in Audit before moving into TMT M&A. I joined KPMG in 2018 and helped grow the team over a number of years, solidifying the practice with leading mid-market transactions across both Enterprise Software and Creative Media. Following the investment from Cinven, I joined Grant Thornton in March 2026, where I've become part of the Grant Thornton family and look forward to the exciting growth journey ahead.

I work with clients across two main areas. In Enterprise Software, I advise businesses across the full breadth of the sector, including construction tech, compliance technology, health and safety software, workforce management and HR tech. In Creative Media, I work with companies across video games, TV and film, and creative agencies.

I've always been drawn to technology, and my background as a passionate gamer gives me a genuine feel for the products, communities and creative businesses I advise.

Outside work, I'm passionate about classic cars and music, and I'm a big Elvis Presley fan. I also enjoy spending time with my wife, visiting National Trust and English Heritage properties and sites.
