David is an Advisory Partner at Grant Thornton UK, leading the Business Process Services practice within CFO Solutions. With over 30 years of experience spanning finance transformation, outsourcing, technology, and data, he works with CFOs, COOs and Boards to redesign how operating units are structured, resourced and delivered - combining consulting, managed services and AI-enabled process change into joined-up, end-to-end solutions.
David brings a proven track record of building and scaling multi-service businesses, including senior partner roles at PwC, IBM and KPMG, and founding ventures in ERP outsourcing, managed services and digital skills (Origin, Acuera, Code Nation). He has led major finance and ERP transformations recognised by MCA awards, created low-cost delivery centres and Design–Build–Operate models, and developed national skills programmes.
His sector experience spans rail, financial services, retail, health, higher education, infrastructure, manufacturing and PE-backed businesses, with a particular focus on the mid-market where the need for integrated, C-Suite aligned transformation is most acute.
At Grant Thornton, David’s ambition is to bring together the firm’s breadth of expertise across business transformation, technology and advisory to help clients navigate an era of rapid AI-driven operating model change - delivering modern back office functions that are efficient, resilient, and ready for growth.
Outside work, David is passionate about leadership development, grassroots technology education, supporting the 12 Foundation CIC to improve the lives of young children, and the role the private sector can play in creating economic opportunity.
