As governance and leadership director in Grant Thornton's Public Sector Audit team, I help public bodies tackle complex governance, leadership and cultural challenges. Working across the UK, I support organisations to strengthen decision-making, improve organisational effectiveness and deliver meaningful change. My background spans senior leadership roles in local government, alongside extensive experience leading large-scale consultancy engagements.
I specialise in governance reviews, scrutiny, organisational improvement and culture change, particularly in high-profile or intervention settings where credibility, pace and practical solutions matter. I work closely with elected members, officers and boards to design approaches that are realistic, sustainable and owned by the people delivering them. Recent work includes developing governance models adopted into new constitutional arrangements and leading transformation programmes that have strengthened relationships, improved effectiveness and supported recovery from intervention.
Outside work, I'm a trustee of a theatre charity, a gym enthusiast and mum to a teenage daughter. I also enjoy painting and spending time with my dogs.
