I lead our HR function transformation offering, helping clients build HR functions that are fit for the future and clearly add value to the business. I've worked across regulated and non-regulated organisations in a range of sectors, both as an HR business partner and as a specialist consultant leading HR workstreams on large-scale transformation programmes. I work closely with leadership teams to shape and deliver people strategies that support business goals and improve the day-to-day experience for employees. 

I help business leaders design and rebuild their HR operating models, so they work for today and hold up for the future. This has included supporting UK and global organisations through function transformations alongside new HR technology, covering organisation design, end-to-end process design, new governance structures, and the data and MI that sits underneath it all. I also do more focused work with HR leaders, from developing or sharpening a strategy so it's genuinely actionable, to writing policies, to running a health-check on the function so they've got a clear view of where to focus next. 

I always start by agreeing what success looks like with the client and use that to strike the right balance between commercial drivers, such as cost optimisation or the ability to scale, building a better employee experience and clearer growth pathways for the workforce. Getting that balance right matters to me: it's easy to solve for one and miss the other. I'm particularly interested in how things actually work in practice: the culture and ways of working in a team often matter more than the org chart when it comes to making change stick. Sometimes that means closing a capability gap, sometimes it's a shift in behaviour rather than a redesign. I've also done a lot of work helping clients use technology to free up capacity in their HR function for more strategic work, or to bring down cost-to-serve.  

Outside of work I love reading, seeing live music and comedy. I’m also a “fair weather walker” so enjoy going for walks on the moors where I live between Manchester and Leeds if the weather is good.
