Too often, strategies stall before they reach delivery, and organisation structures no longer match the ambition they’re meant to support. I lead three of Grant Thornton’s transformation propositions built to close that gap: Organisation Design, Target Operating Model Design, and Strategy Activation. Whatever the starting point – unclear accountability, a fragmented operating model, or a strategy that hasn’t translated into delivery – the three come together as one connected thread, turning ambition into an operating reality that sticks.
I’m a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) – an independently assessed standard reflecting proven consulting capability and ongoing professional development – with 20 years of project and change experience across industry and professional services. I like to roll up my sleeves and get involved. Working as part of the wider Transformation & People Advisory team, I help clients achieve real, lasting outcomes – clarifying the challenge, enabling the right response, then accomplishing change rapidly.
Being ‘client side’ for many years – including leading organisation design and target operating model programmes in-house for major UK retailers – means I know what good looks like, and the real challenges of putting it in place when business as usual dominates. My work has included an £80 million cost-to-serve programme for a major grocery retailer, an award-winning multi-billion-pound supply chain for a globalising automotive joint venture, and target operating model design for a global business services organisation.
I’ve been fortunate to work across numerous sectors, including Industrials & Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Business Services, Financial Services, Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, and Automotive. My belief is that transformation is about helping people change and that is sector agnostic. Whichever sector a Grant Thornton client is in, our priority is to listen and gain real-world insights into their issues and then provide the right solution for achieving business goals – this is where I could help you.
If any of that sounds familiar, I’d welcome the conversation. Connect with me on email or LinkedIn.
