I am a director in our forensic and investigation services team and have specialised in forensic accounting since 2013, following completion of my accountancy training in the firm's audit practice.
I have led a number of forensic accounting engagements with a focus on post-SPA dispute resolution, including expert determination processes and breach of warranty claims, and complex commercial disputes, frequently with an international element.
A sample of my recent engagements include:
- Part of team involved in an expert determination of a £350m purchase price dispute between two major European banks following the sale and purchase of several motor finance subsidiaries in three jurisdictions (and under two sale and purchase agreements).
- Assisting the buyer of a US aluminium plant to prepare submissions for an expert determination in a completion accounts dispute
- Complex cash flow tracing exercise to calculate damages in High Court litigation
- Loss of profits calculation in respect of the construction of an African hotel for the purpose of an ICC arbitration
- Assessment of damages quantum in an ICC Arbitration following a fire at an oil refinery in the Middle East
