I’ve had a wide spectrum of experience in professional services including Risk Consulting, Deals and more recently matters related to private clients and their capital. I’ve led some of the key relationships with the largest business houses and conglomerates, and my industry expertise includes Telecom, Healthcare and Automotive.
In my role as Head of India Global and Global Indians, I'm responsible for building and growing a multi-disciplinary practice focused on Indian UHNWI, their businesses and family offices with respect to outbound investments. The Indian outbound capital is making its mark on the world stage and needs trusted advisors to help with tax, regulatory, deals and compliance needs.
My role is to maintain the bridge between the UK and India; nurturing opportunities presented by the strong cultural and trading relationships between them and functioning as a single point of contact to create a seamless experience for our clients who have businesses and investments in both countries. I can access capabilities in both the UK and India, as well as our global network to advise clients across the regulatory, deal, operations, and compliance landscape.
One example of this is when I helped an Indian business complete a cross-border merger between their UK investment and a French company, and list on the London stock exchange. The client reached out to me for help with merger accounting as they needed resources across the UK and India. The support I provided enabled a smooth transition and post-merger integration discussions.
Previously I was a partner in Grant Thornton's member firm in India, where I supported India’s largest telecom company, largest automotive company, and largest airline with their risk and governance needs. As a lead partner I was fully invested in the outcomes and took complete ownership of promises we made as a firm.
My role straddles geographies and cultures, and my ecosystem includes wealth managers, private banks, immigration lawyers and corporate finance boutiques. I believe that embracing diversity is the key to true and sustainable success. Coming from a place where we find value in differences of opinions is a strong foundation for helping clients understand and navigate the particular cultural sensitivities of both the UK and India.
Outside of work, I love the outdoors and sports. I'm a keen golfer and have been playing squash for over 35 years. I love going to the gym, going on treks, and cycling long distances. I can’t sit in one place. I've also started to enjoy art and getting lost in it. My daughter is my life and I want to see her grow into an independent, self-aware, and confident person who believes she can be whatever she wants. My life’s mission is to enable that.
