Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has expanded its retail sector expertise, with the addition of two new senior hires.
Wendy Russell, partner in the firm’s audit practice, joins the firm’s Milton Keynes office. Bringing over 17 years of experience across audit, assurance and finance transformation, she has worked with a number of publicly listed and private companies in the retail sector. She also has significant experience helping businesses with financial reporting requirements, including IFRS 16. Wendy is ACA qualified and a fellow of the ICAEW.
The firm has also recently appointed Nicola Sartori as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Retail and Consumer Brands team. Based in the firm’s London offices, Nicola leads the national M&A team focused on the retail and consumer brands sectors, bringing over 16 years of experience advising on high profile transactions. She has also spent time in industry, having completed a secondment as Group Finance Director with Aurora Fashions. She is a fellow of the ICAEW.
