I lead out on the development of our ESG and sustainability services, supporting clients to address their strategic, operational and reporting needs. My experience builds on over eight years leading the global advisory team at Grant Thornton International Limited, providing me with deep capability in strategy, working across borders and cultures and with teams of diverse needs and goals.
My approach to working with clients is exactly that – I work ‘with’ clients to co-design solutions to problems. I do not believe in the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to helping clients succeed. I’m an advocate of the concept of ‘Shared Value’- first introduced by Porter and Kramer in 2011 – which seeks to expand the envelope of corporate strategy beyond ‘directly’ benefiting an organisation, to strategy ‘also’ going hand-in-hand in helping our communities and society, in general, solve the environmental and societal problems they face.
I enjoy learning and much of my time is invested in sustainability educational programmes. Beyond this, I’m trying to make myself more sustainable by taking up running, but the jury is out on this!
