Hazel Platt

Hazel Platt is the Head of Tax at Grant Thornton UK and a member of the firm’s Strategic Leadership Team. With more than 30 years’ experience, she brings deep commercial and organisational insight contributing to the firm’s strategic direction and long‑term priorities.

In her role on the Strategic Leadership Team, Hazel is closely involved in driving the firm’s growth and transformation agenda, with a particular focus on strengthening Grant Thornton’s position as a leader in digital and technology‑enabled professional services. Alongside that role, Hazel leads Grant Thornton’s growing national Tax business, a team of around 850 people. Her leadership emphasises building an environment where colleagues feel empowered to innovate, collaborate and thrive.

As the firm’s sponsor for gender, Hazel is committed to creating pathways for women into senior leadership and supporting a culture where fulfilling careers and family life can coexist for all.

Outside work, Hazel enjoys cycling, Pilates and golf and loves spending time outdoors with family and friends over good food and wine.
