As a finance professional with over 25 years' experience in public sector finance roles, I understand the challenges the public sector faces.
I'm an associate director in the public services advisory team, providing financial advice to local authorities and public sector bodies. This may cover anything from business case development, funding options and corporate structuring to other areas such as subsidy control. My primary role is to support the delivery of projects. This means working with, guiding and challenging clients to enable them to understand the key issues and make informed, evidence-led decisions.
Day to day, I lead delivery teams working with clients to provide pragmatic solutions to complex problems. Part of this is ensuring good communication throughout the project and that our advice can be implemented effectively. Having worked across a range of public sector services and projects allows me to bring an understanding of the challenges facing public services, and to provide insight that helps clients work through the thorny issues – which is often needed for projects to succeed.
Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can outdoors. I enjoy all forms of physical exercise particularly cycling, running and open-water swimming.
